Here For All Your Particle-Wave Duality Apparel Needs Right. Pull up a chair for a little personal moment with T-Shirt Girl here at ThinkGeek. I knew I was going to be a fan of The Big Bang Theory from the beginning. Literally. Sheldon: So if a photon is directed through a plane with two slits in it and either slit is observed it will not go through both slits. If it's unobserved, it will. However, if it's observed after it's left the plane but before it hits its target, it will not have gone through both slits. Leonard: Agreed. What's your point? Sheldon: No point. I just think it's a good idea for a t-shirt. Those are the very first lines of the pilot episode. They're also my .sig file, because it's so freaking funny. What makes it funny is that Sheldon is so out-of-touch with reality that he thinks this complicated physics conundrum would make a successful shirt. You would not believe the number of times folks have suggested it through our Bounty Program, though.* And so when one of our vendors picked up the BBT license, they had their artist to illustrate my .sig file to make the point that it would make a good t-shirt for the sort of people who make up our audience. Because we have some Sheldons in our customer base. We have a bunch of Leonards. And some Rajs. And even some Wolowitzes, although they would never admit to it. And, of course, we have quite a few Leslie Winkles. (I may be female, but my personality is Stuart all the way.) So for those out there who think Sheldon was right and it would make a good shirt?
